Who we are

Stella Apps is a small, independent software company in the United Kingdom. We work closely with the people who use what we build, ship carefully, and answer our own emails. Everything we make starts the same way: a real business buried in admin, and one honest question about what would actually help.

EARLY ACCESS

Allergen labelling you can stand behind. ProvenBatch keeps the chain from your suppliers' declarations, through your recipes, to the label on the pack — so every label reflects what actually went into the batch, and the records are there to prove it.

  • Natasha's Law (PPDS) labels with the full ingredient list and the fourteen UK allergens emphasised — derived from the batch you made, never typed up and trusted.
  • A record an inspector can be shown: what was made, when, and from which supplier's declaration.
  • Built for a working kitchen — runs on the phone in your apron pocket, keeps working offline, and stores your data in the United Kingdom.

How we work

In the room

We build alongside the businesses using it — early starts included. If a feature doesn't survive a real working day, it doesn't ship.

Plain language

No dashboards nobody asked for and no jargon. If we can't explain a screen in one sentence, it isn't finished.

Small on purpose

We'd rather do one thing properly for a few hundred small businesses than something vague for everyone. You'll always reach a person.

The name

This is Stella.

She's a French Bulldog, she supervises from a bed by the back door, and the company is named after her. It seemed a better fit than an invented word with a missing vowel — and it's a fair warning that you're dealing with people rather than a call centre.
